Life lessons

Asking for help is a skill, too.

You can be independent and still let other people show up for you.

Sample writing for the first design concept. Personal stories and recommendations will replace these examples.

Make the question smaller

Asking for help can feel easier when the request is specific. Instead of needing someone to solve everything, try naming the one part where another perspective would help. A clear request also gives the other person room to respond honestly.

Let the answer be a conversation

Someone may not have the time or experience to help in the way you first imagined. There may still be another useful starting point. This sample reflection is an invitation to share a real experience of learning to ask and learning to listen.
